I’m Jason, the founder of Remember This Tech Computer Solutions. I provide computer repair, upgrades, secure network setup, and custom computer builds for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits throughout Northern Minnesota. I started this business to offer honest, dependable tech support backed by real experience and a genuine passion for technology.

My journey with computers began on a family 386 computer. I remember trying to run a game that required more memory than the system had available. Determined to make it work, I taught myself how to optimize memory by learning DOS and created custom boot disks to load everything into High Memory and experimenting until I succeeded. That experience sparked a lifelong curiosity about how computers work and how to make them perform at their best.

Since then, I’ve spent decades building, upgrading, repairing, and restoring computers. I enjoy helping people extend the life of their systems, improve performance, recover important data, and avoid unnecessary replacements. Whether it’s installing a fast SSD, troubleshooting a system issue, securing a home network, or building a custom computer from scratch, I approach every project with care and attention to detail.

In my professional career, I’ve also worked in cybersecurity, supporting federal information systems. As an Information System Security Officer supporting the USDA’s Scientific Research Network, I helped secure systems used by researchers across the country. My work included vulnerability management, system hardening, incident response, and implementing NIST security standards designed to protect sensitive information.

I hold cybersecurity certifications including CompTIA SecurityX and Security+, and I bring that same security-focused mindset to every system I work on. Protecting your data, privacy, and system reliability is always a top priority.
